Patient Portal

The Patient Portal is your personal, totally secure link to The Village Doctor. Through it you have access to:

Appointment Scheduling: If you need an appointment and want to be able to avoid having to call the office, just schedule it directly through the portal! All you need to do is log in and follow the directions. Although convenient, remember that the portal should only be used for non-emergent appointments. If you feel you absolutely need to be seen today, call us at 757-223-0124. For true emergencies, call 911 or go to the ER.

Prescription Refill: The portal makes refilling your prescriptions a breeze! Just log on, click on the medication or medications you want refilled, type in where to send the prescription, and hit send. Dr. Brady will immediately get a message stating you need the refills and will authorize them as he has time during the day. Most prescriptions will be able to be picked up at the pharmacy later the same day.

Individual Health History: Everything in the history section of your chart can be viewed and printed out through the portal. This is incredibly important if you are in an emergent situation or going to see a specialist physician and need quick access to any allergies, medications, previous surgeries, or current medical problems.

Secure e-mail communication with Dr. Brady: If you have a question or need to give Dr. Brady information, you can use the portal to securely discuss any medical issue with him. This includes e-mailing Dr. Brady updates/corrections you need to your health history, asking questions about new issues that have developed, or even e-mailing blood pressures or blood sugars checked at home. In return, the portal allows Dr. Brady to securely e-mail you medical information including lab results or general information regarding your health. Please allow one business day for a response.

To get an idea of what the portal looks like or to just play around with it a bit, hit the portal button and log on as Mickey Mouse:

Password: password

The Village Doctor charges a one time fee of $25/individual or $50/family to access and use the portal. This fee helps to defray the administrative costs of the technology. In order to sign up, print out The Village Doctor Portal Waiver, and bring it in to the office to receive your individual log-in information. Of note, per governmental regulations, the portal waiver must be updated every year.
